MIGRANT & SEASONAL FARM WORKERS (MSFW)

The Colorado Department of Labor & Employment administers a bilingual (English/Spanish) outreach program to our predominantly Spanish speaking clientele because we are designated as a significant MSFW state.

The six significant MSFW Workforce Centers (Brighton, Greeley, Lamar, Monte Vista, Delta and Rocky Ford) provide quality employment services and referrals to to our customers.  Outreach efforts are accomplished by personal contacts with Migrant and Seasonal Farm workers to provide the full range of services such as full applications, counseling, testing, job training, referrals to supportive service agencies and job placement.

Colorado Workforce Centers provide Outreach Services to agricultural employers by effectively communicating information about services available through the One-Stop Career Centers by providing pre-occupancy housing inspections for agricultural growers, assisting employers in assessing their labor needs and making appropriate referrals to their job openings. Staff provide pertinent information on the labor market; intrastate and interstate temporary agricultural worker recruitment requirements, including information on the Foreign Labor Certification process for the importation of foreign temporary agricultural workers.
