Employment Verification Law

Effective January 1, 2007, the Colorado employment verification law (8-2-122, C.R.S.) requires private and public employers to retain an affirmation and copies of an employee’s identity documents for employment eligibility purposes. For more information:

Public Contracts for Services Law

Colorado immigration and employment law (8-17.5-101 & 102, C.R.S.) effective August 7, 2006 applies to contractors who enter into or renew public contracts for services with a state agency or political subdivision. For more information:

Immigration Complaint

The Division of Labor will investigate employers who are not complying with the Employment Verification Law and contractors and subcontractors not complying with the Public Contracts for Services and Illegal Aliens Law. If you wish to make a complaint you must fully complete the form(s) below and submit to the Division.
