Monthly Narratives on CES Employment for Colorado Statewide and the Denver MSA

Colorado Current Employment Statistics analyst Chris Akers produces monthly narratives that analyze the employment situation in Colorado and the Denver MSA. In addition, quarterly narratives are written for the smaller MSAs- Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Greeley, and Pueblo.  The statewide narrative analyzes seasonally adjusted data, while the MSA narratives analyze unadjusted data (seasonally adjusted data is only produced at the statewide level). Each narrative is divided up by Supersector (major industry) and often includes graphs and charts to show trends or fluctuations in employment. Over the month (OTM), over the quarter (OTQ), and over the year (OTY) comparisons are frequently discussed and help to demonstrate how the current month's job situation compares with employment levels recorded during the previous period.
