| Food and Kindred products employment declined by 630 jobs to 25,863. The average wage in this sector increased by 2.5%. Within this sector, Beverages employment declined by 435 jobs. Sugar and Confectionery employment declined by 85 jobs. |
| Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Computer Equipment (SIC 35) is the largest manufacturing segment in Colorado with employment increasing by 778 to 30,919. The division increased by 45 establishments to 796. The average wage increased by 7.9% to $45,856 per year. Within this sector, Computer and Office equipment employment averaged 16,693 with an annual wage of $56,600 in 1996. 7,378 of these jobs were in Boulder County and 4,616 were in Larimer County. |
