A unit of the Community Colleges of Colorado, the Colorado Career Web is a federally funded program which builds on the service model previously provided by the Colorado State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee.  We strive to provide career counselors and students access to useful tools.

career and academic guide: preparing today for tomorrow - The Guidance and Advisory committee of the staff of the Community Colleges of Colorado had prepared "Career and Academic Guide:  Preparing Today for Tomorrow'.  The guide is for levels pre-kindergarten through grade 14. There are two grade specific sheets for each grade level with activities for each of the four seasons of the year. The product empowers parents or guardians to assist their children in choosing a career.

a job hunting guide for colorado citizens with disabilities - This booklet has been created to help people with disabilities in the state of Colorado look for and find employment.

inside edition - job hunting for ex-offenders - This handbook is designed to help adult and youthful ex-offenders find employment in Colorado. It was prepared by the Colorado Career Web to answer some of your questions and to highlight some programs that may help you. While we don't expect you'll find the answers to all the questions you may have, we hope this is a good starting point for your job search.

video cd of over 130 careers - A brief segment describes each career on this CD.  It will run on Windows or MAC, but you do need a quick time plug-in to run the CD.  The cost is $10 post paid.  Please send check or purchase order to the address listed below. Email:  info@coloradocareer.net.

planning guide to colorado careers - is a pamphlet designed for high school students.  You may order the new 2000 version soon.  You have two options: downloading the printer ready .PDF file or mailing a check for $10 per hundred post paid to our address.  This has been one of our most popular publications and many find it is a must have.  We highlight Colorado's top 100 careers and provide interesting statistics for each one.

career center handbook - A step-by-step guide for counselors to set up a career center. PDF format.

online career data - Interactive version of the Occupational Outlook Handbook.  Provides job description, wages, education required and more, for each occupation. Click here to access the data.

colorado career information system:  Colorado Career Information System (COCIS) is a Colorado specific career information system with local Colorado labor data and national and Colorado education information.  It also has financial aid help. The windows system is available on a CD ROM and is in English and Spanish. You may find out more about our Colorado system by contacting COCIS-PO Box 480722, Denver CO 80248 or call at 303-322-9393 or email them directly with a request for information.

america's career kit:  America's Career Kit is a suite of internet resources designed to provide job seekers and employers with access to job, resume, labor market and training information. Try using this one stop tool. Find it at http://www.ttrc.doleta.gov/careerkit/test/start.htm

the real game series:  The Real Game Series are simulation games designed for students and clients of all ages. I have taught some of the games and recommend you check out the Real Game Site

the national career development guidelines: 
The National Career Development Guidelines represent a major nationwide effort to foster career development at all levels and in a wide range of settings. They are a competency based approach to career development that helps states, schools, colleges and universities, and human service agencies plan quality career guidance and counseling programs. the johnson o'connor test:  The Johnson O'Connor Test is a battery of 17 aptitude tests to help those of any age to zero in on strengths and weaknesses. Read this article for more insight. 

the lifework portfolio:  The Life/Work Portfolio is both a place and a process. It is a place to store information about yourself that will help you to look at career options, make decisions and plans, write resumes and prepare for interviews. It also outlines the process of career development the steps to take in making career decisions and develop plans for new career directions.  The Portfolio is an ongoing creative work. You can add information, new options, and new ideas as you change and grow.  Keeping your Portfolio up to date will help you as you face new challenges.
