Please read the Claimant Handbook as your first source of information about UI. There are many methods for obtaining information about a UI claim. On this Web page, you will find information about UI claim self-service resources located on the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Web site and on the Colorado Unemployment Benefits Line (CUBLine). By using these resources instead of calling the UI Customer Contact Center (CCC), you can avoid waiting on the telephone for answers to your questions. Before filing a new UI claim, you may calculate your estimated benefit amount by visiting the Colorado Unemployment Benefits Claim ESTIMATOR Web page. FILING FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS ONLINE Initial UI benefits claims can be filed online. Visit the Colorado Unemployment Insurance Benefits Initial Claim Application Web page to file a claim. EMERGENCY UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION Visit the Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Web page for information about EUC, including filing instructions. Processing a regular UI claim or an EUC claim application can take from four to six weeks to complete. If you are found to be eligible for either regular UI or EUC, payment will be deposited to the Colorado Automated Payment (CAP) Card for any payable weeks you report to:

To qualify for regular UI or EUC benefits, you must be physically able to work and be available to work immediately if a job is offered. COLORADO AUTOMATED PAYMENT CARD QUESTIONS UI and EUC benefits are paid to a VisaŽ debit card known as the CAP Card. The CAP Card is issued by CDLE through its agent Chase Bank (Chase). Chase Personal Identification Number You will select a Chase 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) once you activate your CAP Card. The 4 digit PIN you use for your CAP Card is different from the PIN you use for your UI claim.
